FOLLOWING the opening of a new antique centre in town, we decided to ask our readers where they loved to buy vintage and antique items. Here's what they said.

The Vintage Emporium and Hexham Antique Centre, Hexham marketplace 

The business has an extensive three floors and around 15 different dealers offering antiques, vinyl records, vintage clothing, retro games and collectables.

One Facebook review said: "I visit here once every week or two. Fantastic range of antiques, clothing, and general vintage goodies. Be sure to visit the record/vinyl store on the top floor. Superb range covering all genres. Do yourself a favour and check it out."

Northumberland Antique Centre, Hexham

This store opened on New Year's Day 2024. There is space for up to 30 independent antique dealers across three floors and offers an eclectic range of vintage goods, from jewellery to Victorian furnishings.

One Google review said: "Fantastic place with a great selection of interesting items. Friendly staff and dog friendly."

Campbell's Antiques on Stagshaw Bank, Corbridge

As well as taxidermy, the store also sells decorative war art, antique furniture and religious artefacts.

A Facebook review said: "Brilliant service and great selection of things to choose from. Will continue to buy from this seller for many moons to come."

Vintage at the Tower, Corbridge

The clothing store sells a range of vintage accessories including hats, bags and jewellery. 

A Google review said: "What a wonderful, tastefully crafted vintage shop in Corbridge. So many lovely finds, I came home with a gorgeous dress and belt. I’ll definitely be visiting the online shop until I can go again."

Corbridge Antiques

A Google review said: "Two floors of antiques and quirky stuff. From furniture to unique pieces, the strange and the useful. Dog friendly and you can browse without obligation. Located behind the petrol station with ample parking. Finish off with a coffee and cake in the town to celebrate your purchase."

The store is home to forty dealers, offering an array of antique, vintage, collectable and decorative items.

Opulence Jewellery and Antiques, Hexham

From fine antique Jewellery, the store sells unique objet d’art (an ornamental work of art) and silverware items showcased over three levels.
