A popular comedian is set to bring his energy-packed show to Hexham later this year.

Londoner Emmanuel Sonubi is set to head out on his largest UK tour to date.

The tour will begin in Leeds on April 10 and end in Salford on June 2.

Organised by Phil McIntyre Live Ltd, the schedule includes a performance in Hexham's Queens Hall on April 12.

Emmanuel's show, titled 'Emmanuel Sonubi: Curriculum Vitae,' draws on his diverse career history, which has helped mould his unique comedic voice and will take the audience on a hilarious journey through all of the jobs he held before becoming a comedian - including working in IT and on the doors of London's bars.

The tour follows his recent sell-out performances at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Emmanuel garnered attention at the festival, earning a nomination for the prestigious 2022 Edinburgh Comedy Award.

Emmanuel said: "I am looking forward to getting back on the road with this new show.

"Last year was amazing with Emancipated, but this time I’ll be back with a bigger show and a few surprises along the way.

"Thank you to everyone that came out to see me last year, I can’t wait to see you all again."

Emmanuel has been increasing his reputation as 'one to watch out for,' having swiftly climbed the ranks of prominence in the comedy circuit.

He is now one of the most in-demand acts, not only in the UK but around the world, despite only beginning in comedy just a couple of years ago.

His lists of credits are continually growing, reflecting his increasing popularity with global audiences. He has been featured on the likes of QI, Alan Davies As Yet Untitled, Apprentice 'You're Fired' and has headlined Live at the Apollo. He also has a number of musical theatre credits to his name.

The show guarantees to deliver laugh-out-loud comedy with a heart and is already predicted to be an unmissable event.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from Emmanuel Sonubi's website.
