The bursary is part of a collaboration between the Art Club, the Arts Society in Hexham and the high school to help students develop their talents and fulfil their artistic ambitions.

The Award was presented to Robbie by Lucia Fisher on behalf of the Hexham Art Club. Robbie plans to use the bursary to help with the costs of purchasing materials and to fund visits to colleges and universities.

Robbie brought examples of drawings, paintings and illustrations from his portfolio and talked to Club members about his work and his plans for further study.

Hexham Art Club has more than 60 members and meets on Tuesdays at the Community Centre in Hexham from 1pm-3pm. The club is open to everyone and helps beginners and more experienced artists to learn, share and exhibit their work.
