Nominations have opened for The Northern Cultural Education Awards 2024.

The annual event, hosted by cultural education charity Curious Minds, has extended its reach this year to include the North East and Yorkshire and the Humber.

Recognising the best in cultural education across Northern England, the awards champion innovation and activism benefitting children and young people.

Among the potential invitees to nominate or self-nominate are teachers, artists, social workers, health specialists, and community volunteers.

Kelly Allen, executive director of Social Justice at Curious Minds said: "We are delighted to host The Northern Cultural Education Awards for the third time and are even more excited to open nominations to the wonderful communities in the North East and Yorkshire and the Humber."

Nominations are open until midnight on Sunday, March 3, with the winners set to be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday, May 24.
