Pancake Day is upon us once again - that time of year when we start whisking up some tasty treats.
The day, which is also known as Shrove Tuesday, changes date every year but normally takes place in the month of February.
Always falling 47 days before Easter, Pancake Day is considered by many to be the final day of indulgence before the start of Lent, which lasts for 40 days.
Here's some background on the history - Shrove Tuesday was the last opportunity to use up eggs and fats before embarking on the Lenten fast and pancakes were the perfect way of using up these ingredients.
