A PUB in Tynedale was revealed as one of the top cosiest pubs in the UK this week, so we decided to ask readers which pubs they thought were the cosiest in our area.
The Heart of Northumberland, in Hexham, was ranked as the eighth cosiest pub in the country, according to new research from South Western Railway.
1 The Golden Lion, Corbridge
Catharine Williams said: "Definitely The Golden Lion, Corbridge. Warm welcome and cosy surroundings."
Paul Power added: "Absolutely. The Golden Lion, Corbridge. Fantastic food with wonderful friendly service."
Siobhan Power commented: "Absolutely the newly reopened The Golden Lion, Corbridge - three open fires, the warmest of welcomes, cosy corners, delicious food and a loveable family."
2 Black Bull, Corbridge
Ruth Pollard voted for the Black Bull, Corbridge, housed in a traditional building dating back to 1755. There are cosy fires to warm up to alongside a few drinks.
3 Dipton Mill Inn, Hexham
Tracy Whitfield Scandle voted for the Dipton Mill Inn, which serves real ales from its own Hexhamshire brewery in a cosy wood-panelled, low-ceiling inn with a sunken garden area.
4 The Boatside Inn, Warden, Hexham

Lindsey Hitch said: "Definitely The Boatside Inn." A recent Facebook review said: "Staff very friendly on entering, decor was very nice, clean, welcoming with a lovely log fire to get warm."

6 The Grapes Hotel, Hexham
One Google review said: "Reasonable pricing, nearby parking in the market place, good football coverage on TV. What more do you want when passing through Hexham?"
7 The Tannery, Hexham
Loved by customers for its food, service and staff, The Tannery is another popular site.
One Facebook review said: "Had a lovely meal in here today, the burgers are absolutely amazing, super friendly staff, could not fault one thing about the place, looking forward to going back, thank you for making us feel so welcome."
8 Crown Inn, Humshaugh
Recently named as the best pub in Northumberland, The Crown Inn offers traditional pub grub, league-winning pool teams, hosts buskers and tractor meets.
9 Rat Inn, Anick
The award-winning pub offers a 'friendly welcome whether it's for drinks or snacks or something more substantial,' one review said.
10 County Hotel, Hexham
"Had dinner here twice. The food was delicious. The cocktails are both great and really good value," one Google review said.
