Northumberland County Council is hosting a free event for landlords and agents to discuss new housing laws.

Set for February 1, the forum will be held at The Civic Centre, Renwick Road Blyth, from 5pm to 7pm.

Colin Horncastle, cabinet member and Northumberland County Councillor, said: "Our Landlord Forums are a great opportunity for you to get up to date, impartial and professional advice.

"There are also opportunities to network and meet and share views with officers from Northumberland County Council Private Sector Housing Team.

"If you rent out a property, then please try and come along."

Those interested are encouraged to register by emailing privatesectorhousing@northumberland.gov.uk.

The evening will begin with a buffet at 5pm, followed by presentations from guest speakers, Paul Hampton from Approved Mortgage Solutions and John Forth from National Residential Landlord Association (NRLA), starting at 5.15pm.

Guest speakers will provide general advice on finance and mortgages, and updates on current significant issues in the Private Rented Sector.

The forum aims to be a networking hub and a chance for landlords and agents to connect with Northumberland County Council Private Sector Housing Team.

The forum will close at 6.45pm. Parking is available opposite the building, just off Marine Terrace.
