A THEATRICAL Community Interest Company performed Shakespeare for care home residents over the weekend.

Members of Stage Fright CIC, based in Hexham, performed their production of Shakespeare's A Winter's Tale for residents of Elm Bank Care Home in Hexham on Saturday, January 20.

Stage Fright aims to encourage an inclusive culture for individuals with learning disabilities within the arts.

Linda Ferris, Stage Fright's senior managing director, said: "Dave Smith, our facilitator, set the stage for our performance of A Winter's Tale.

"All of the residents joined in with cheers and boos. We ended the show with a sing-along and a dance. Well done to everyone who took part, what a lovely afternoon bringing our community together.

"We would also like to thank the staff of Elm Bank Care Home, staff who support some of our Stagefrighters, Adapt Transport, Advance Taxis and everyone else involved," she added.
