AS primary school applications are about to close for parents in the coming days, we thought it would be the perfect time to reveal the top schools in your area.
Here is the list we have made of Tynedale schools that have been ranked 'outstanding' by Ofsted.
In Hexham, it was revealed that Hexham Priory School on Corbridge Road was the best in the area.
Whereas in Prudhoe, Ovingham COE First School was ranked 'outstanding', as was Haltwhistle Primary Academy and Broomhaugh (VA) Church of England First School on Church Lane, Riding Mill and Broomley First School on Main Road, Stocksfield.
Other Tynedale schools that also made the top mark was Wylam First School on Bell Road, Wylam and Belsay Primary School in Belsay, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
In Ponteland, Darras Hall Primary School on Broadway, Ponteland and Ponteland Community Primary School in Callerton Lane are rated outstanding.
