Hundreds of people found the time to visit Hexham Art Club's Christmas Exhibition at the Old Gaol.
The atmospheric setting showcased a wide range of artwork, including the favourite piece of County Councillor for Hexham Central with Acomb, Trevor Cessford.
His personal favourite was a watercolour artwork titled 'All Chores Done' by Nadina Ranson, a picture of a content gnome asleep in his burrow.
The festive exhibition ran from December 9 and came to a close on December 18.
Councillor Cessford visited the exhibition on December 12 and received a guided tour from exhibition organiser, Anne Collier.
She told Mr Cessford how the exhibition had already attracted over 700 visitors in its first four days.
Visitors were particularly charmed with the event taking place in the historic Old Gaol and it was `a particularly busy day for the exhibition with 11 pictures sold soon after the doors opened.
The Art Club seized the chance to contribute to the bustling schedule of Christmas events in Hexham, with a diverse range of work for view and purchase.
The artwork spanned oils, acrylics, watercolour, pastel, and collage, alongside drawings and handmade cards.
The Art Club holds regular sessions every Tuesday 1pm to 3 pm at the Hexham Community Centre, Gilesgate and is welcoming for everyone, especially newcomers.
