TWO people have been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle road collision on a Tynedale road.

Several agencies were alerted to the incident after 4pm this evening (December 4) near the A68 northbound, just north of Chollerford.

Two paramedic crews treated and took two patients to hospital with neck and lower back pain.

A spokesman for North East Ambulance Service said: "We received a call from the police at 16.09hrs today (4 DEC) to attend a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the A68 northbound just north of Chollerford.

"We dispatched two paramedic crews who treated and conveyed two patients to hospital with neck and lower back pain."
