SNOW and ice are expected to affect parts of Tynedale forecast in a yellow weather warning until tomorrow.
The Met Office issued a yellow warning for snow and ice which is expected to be in place from 5pm until 11am tomorrow (Friday, December 1).
The warning covers Allendale, some of Northumberland National Park and further east towards Matfen and Ponteland.
The Met Office predicted wintry showers leading to icy patches developing.
What to Expect
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
