Northumberland Wildlife Trust is preparing to launch this year's 12 Days Wild campaign.
The nationwide campaign encourages individuals to interact with nature daily, from December 25 to January 5.
From Monday, December 4 at 9am onwards, the public can register to take part in the initiative.
Liz Heard, Northumberland Wildlife Trust eco mentor, said: “12 Days Wild is a great way for everybody to experience something wild every day over days between Christmas and New Year."
“It’s also a chance to give something back to nature throughout next year by possibly making some small changes, or simply, getting out there and enjoying a walk on the wild side.
“When it’s dark, cold and miserable it can be really tough to get motivated to get your daily dose of nature, however, 12 Days Wild is packed with ideas and ways to connect with wildlife both indoors and out.”
After registering, participants will receive daily emails with ideas on how to connect with nature, such as becoming a nature detective, creating art with natural materials, and starting the new year with resolutions for nature.
