This week, as many readers are getting ready to prepare and decorate their houses for Christmas, we asked where in Tynedale would they get their home-related products from.

Some examples of homeware includes curtains, bed covers, furniture, and other decorative objects for DIY work.

Here is where you suggested around Hexham and district areas.

When we asked for your recommendations, one name that kept cropping Bellingham Country Store on Parkside Place.

Readers such as Anne Baty, Sue Buckle, Judith Biggs and Ken Judith Anderson tagged it immediately when we put the post up on Facebook.

Resident Wendy Ann Lively said: "We have a great country store in Bellingham, they have nearly everything you need, if not they will do their best to get it for you.

"Prices are good you get the very best of service."

Louise Canney agreed and added: "There's everything you can think of, if it's not there they will get you it."

Another popular shop was Arthur McGee DIY on Font Street in Prudhoe.

One reader Pat Stott said: " [They are] always helpful when asking advice on a product."

Other suggestions included The Cook Shop in Corbridge and both Heather Bolam, Abbie MacDonald and suggested Westgate hardware in Hexham.
