Nature and photography enthusiasts are in for a spectacle at an exhibition at Wallington Hall.

Running until November 30, the exhibition showcases stunning works of both amateur and professional photographers.

Arranged against the striking backdrop of Wallington Hall and gardens, it takes place between 10am-4pm daily.

The exhibit, under the theme of local nature in the River Wansbeck, forms a part of a broader nature recovery project being championed by Groundwork NE & Cumbria.

Outdoor displays feature images on lecterns set next to the meadow area, with large easels exhibiting photographs inside the visitor reception building, for a unique indoor and outdoor experience.

Earlier this year, Groundwork NE & Cumbria were selected to receive funding from Natural England to trial ways to capture carbon.

The project, Wansbeck Restoration for Climate Change, aims to restore natural landscapes and habitats across over 144 hectares of farmland in Northumberland.

Lesley Silvera, Farm and Landowner Engagement Officer, Groundwork NE & Cumbria said: "Our Wansbeck Restoration for Climate Change project is located in this picturesque part of Northumberland which has been captured so beautifully by the photographers in this body of work.

"We would encourage as many people as possible to come to view the photography exhibition in this amazing setting.”
