Orchard House Veterinary Centres, which has a clinic in Hexham, has scooped a prestigious ‘Cat Friendly Clinic’ Silver accreditation from ‘The International Society of Feline Medicine’ (ISFM).

A recognition of its commitment to feline well-being, the team promises to make your cat’s visit as stress-free as possible.

The ISFM, which is the veterinary arm of ‘International Cat Care’, awards this status to clinics exhibiting enhanced levels of cat care and welfare.

There are three levels of accreditation – Bronze, Silver, or Gold.

The practice has a nominated, and enthusiastic, 'Cat Advocate' who guarantees that their top standards are constantly upheld.

The achievement involved every single member of the team working towards a common goal – to ensure cats receive the very best care that they can provide.

To achieve silver status, the practice proved competent in multiple areas.

These include staff training in the latest clinical protocols for cats, exceptional handling of feline patients during visits, and high-quality hospitalisation facilities.

They also offer a separate cat waiting area to minimise stress and a range of necessary diagnostic and surgical equipment.

As part of the achievement, the veterinary team promises to make every effort to ensure your cat’s visit is as comfortable as possible.
