WITH this year's date announced for Spook Night on Saturday, October 28 between 2 pm to 9 pm, we wanted to look back at the previous years of the 'frightening' event.
The annual event has always been a much-anticipated event for locals and even tourists who make their way to Hexham to see what the fuss is about.
Thousands of people flock to the streets for the promise of a thrilling time at the event with fairground rides, lanterns, and fancy dress competitions for children, adults, or even pets.
As always hot and cold food will be available to enjoy when taking a break and embracing the fun night.
There are loads to do and see! Shop windows will be decorated, while stories are told, and faces painted and an eerie escape room can be explored.
In 2019, Lola Whitbread and Ava Lancaster dressed up in costumes inspired by Day of the Dead.
The same year, Ollie Parker won first place in the under 6 fancy dress category.
Daisy Carr was framed by a rainbow as she held on to the Buckin' Bronco.
At 6pm and 7pm in the 2019 event, Hexham dance studio, Studio K, performed at the Sele bandstand to hundreds of enthralled spectators.
Large crowds gathered around the bandstand where they were captivated by spooky dancing, during two impressive and atmospheric performances by the Studio K dance group.
Winners of the 6 to 9 year-olds fancy dress were Nai Dillon, Toby Lewis and Darcey Moy-Atkinson in 2019.
