Bright weather blessed the Corsenside Parish Show in West Woodburn on Saturday.

The climbing wall and bouncy castle proved ever-popular, while the face painter was kept busy throughout the afternoon.

Northumberland Fire and Rescue provided a real fire engine, much to the delight of both adults and children.

The industrial classes attracted a number of entrants.

Les Meikle emerged victorious, winning the cup for securing the most points in fruit, vegetable and flower classes.

Caroline Currie proved her versatility by claiming trophies for the highest points in the cookery and needlework classes along with another for the best exhibit in the cookery section.

Other winners included Sarah Smith for best cheese scones, Angela Newton for best needlework exhibit, Amy Graham and Jonathan Patterson for the annual pairs quoits competition, Mala Taberham for the best collection of vegetables, Nicola Yeates for the best pot plant, and Annabelle Remnant earned the trophy for the best exhibit in the flower classes.
