A COUPLE are planning a Dubai honeymoon after an intimate wedding at a Northumberland venue.

Sharifa, 30 and Mike Astley,35, tied the knot infont of friends and family on September 2, 2023 at Woodhill Hall in Otterburn.

The pair met in Ibiza when Sharifa was working in a beach club called Ocean Beach club 10 years ago when Mike was on holiday. 

Since then the pair were inseperable and Mike decided to propose to Sharifa on his birthday in the Lake District in Lodore Falls Hotel, Keswick in July 2021.

For a hen do, Sharifa went back to Ibiza and stayed At Ushuaia beach hotel, while Mike went to Marbella with his friends.

Reflecting on their wedding day, Sharifa said: "I wore a made with love Gia dress with tulle wings and blue meadow veil. Inspired by the Philip Tracey creation for Pippa Middletonbought in Marrime Bridal in Jesmond.

"Mike wore a Mark Darcy suit from Walton’s in Newcastle.

"Mike had his best man Tomas Garvey, and his ushers were Mark Eden, Nick Smith, and Dan Southern who traveled all the way from Melbourne Australia to be at the event.

"My maid of honor was my sister Sophia Noureddine and then my bridesmaids were Mike's sister Stephanie Astley and Stacey Kinsella.

"My flower girls were my nieces Maggie and Rosie Kelly and our daughter Amelia Astley with our son Leo Astley.

"After the wedding, I wore a 2nd dress for the reception. We had our wedding breakfast in the Orangery in Woodhill with 69 guests.

"Then we had a champagne reception in the tipi at 7:15 pm with the cake cutting out on the balcony.

"After the cake cutting we had our first dance which was to Frank Sinatra I love you baby followed by a DJ.

"Our favourite moment of the day was reading our private vows to each other in the Olive House in front of our family and friends. 

"After the wedding, we had minimoon and stayed at Ramside Hall and stayed in one of their treehouses for the night and had spa treatments and a lovely meal. 

"But we plan to get away in January for a week to Dubai."
