AN AIRPORT has issued an update for holidaymakers looking to fly this week.
After hundreds of planes were grounded around the country due to technical issues with the National Air Traffic Services, Newcastle International Airport still warns members of the public to chek their flight details.
Although the problem has been resolved, the airport fears there will still be some delays for everything to get 'back to normal'.
They released a statement on Facebook.
It said:"We understand that the technical issue with National Air Traffic Services is now resolved, but it will take some time for operations to get back to normal.
"There will continue to be significant disruption, and we advise passengers to contact their airline to check the status of their flight."
