North East TV star, podcast host and author Vicky Pattison has announced that she will be joining radio station Heart as the brand-new presenter of Drivetime.

Following her stint guest-hosting this week, Vicky will be taking the reins permanently from September 11, alongside co-host Adam Lawrance.

Vicky will join the regional vewrsion of the radio station, based in Newcastle, having appeared on hit shows including ‘Celebrity Masterchef,’ ‘Celebrity ‘SAS Who Dares Wins’, ‘Celebrity Hunted’ and was crowned Queen of the Jungle on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in 2015.

The Newcastle local has hosted special guest shows on Heart North East over the past year and has been a huge hit with listeners it seems.

Vicky will now be joining Heart North East’s Adam Lawrance as a permanent presenter on Drive, "keeping listeners company as they play the biggest feel good tunes every weekday afternoon," according to the radio station.

Announcing the move, Vicky said: "I'm absolutely over the moon to be joining Heart! I’ve had a ball covering Drive back home in the North East and can’t wait to have a giggle with my new mate Adam and our amazing listeners every weekday!”

Giles Tanner, regional managing editor for the Midlands and the North at Heart, added: “We’re delighted that Vicky will be permanently joining the Drivetime show on Heart North East in September.
