AN author has cancelled his latest book signing in Tynedale.
Residents will be disappointed to hear that Oscar award-winning author Charlie Mackesy will not be appearing at Waterstones in Hexham for a book signing event on Friday, August 18.
The 60-year-old was set to appear at the Hexham store from 11am, where he would be signing copies of his book, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse for fans.
However, today (Tuesday, August 15) it was revealed on Hexham's Waterstones Twitter account that it was cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.
The Tweet said:
"IMPORTANT CUSTOMER ANNOUNCEMENT - We are sorry to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, our event with Charlie Mackesy this Friday will no longer be going ahead. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Waterstones Hexham"
