A NORTHUMBERLAND garden that featured on BBC2 will open to the public later this month.
Newbiggin House in Blanchland, which featured on episode four of BBC's Robson Green's Weekend Escapes programme in January earlier this year, will host an Open Garden event on Sunday, July 30 from 2pm until 5pm to fundraise for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
The garden featured in the episode alongside former Britain’s Got Talent winner Lost Voice Guy, Lee Ridley, who joins Robson on a trip to Weardale and County Durham to explore ways of spending time in the outdoors.
The Blanchland garden has also been in at least five magazines and was featured on the front cover of Country Life magazine.
The garden is approximately five acres, with a large pond, a wild garden and a formal garden, with an old-fashioned herbaceous border.
It has rare trees and shrubs, with a sweeping lawn.
Teas and icecream will be available at the Open Garden and there will be live music and a bar, plus a plant stall.
Richard Stubbs, head of David Austin Rose Design and technical department, will be at the Garden Party with roses to sell and offer advice about growing roses.
The garden is partly wheelchair accessible.
Admission costs £5.
