Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland job seekers have been invited to take part in a survey to help shape future employment support services in the region.

The North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA) launched the survey on Commonplace, aiming to understand the challenges faced by different individuals when seeking employment.

The findings of the survey will guide the allocation of future funding for employment and skills support.

The North of Tyne area is set to receive £51.2 million from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) over the next three years, with £11.6 million available specifically for investing in people and skills development.

Elected Metro Mayor for the North of Tyne, Jamie Driscoll said: “We put people at the heart of everything we do.

"By understanding the real life experiences of people in the region, we can better tailor our support programmes - helping people to access training, good work and a better life.”

The survey only takes 5 minutes to complete and will be open until Sunday, August 13. By completing the survey, resident will have a chance to win a £50 Eldon Square gift card.

To complete the survey residents should visit www.employment.commonplace.is.
