The Lawnmowers learning-disabled led Theatre Ensemble is set to perform their empowering new show, Retake, Remake, at Queen's Hall in Hexham on Thursday, July 13.

The ensemble has collaborated with Artistic Director Jan Willem van den Bosch and Theatre Maker Melody Sproates to create a cutting-edge lip-synching festival.

The show takes the audience on a journey through a soundscape of songs, recorded voices, and snippets of popular films like Forrest Gump and I Am Sam.

Retake, Remake aims to shed light on the portrayal of individuals with learning disabilities in blockbuster films, where actors without disabilities are often cast in these roles.

The actors in the show humorously and provocatively question this practice, creating a mix of entertainment and thought-provoking moments.

Audiences can book their tickets to witness this 'comically brilliant and politically searing' performance by visiting www.queenshall.co.uk or by calling the Queen's Hall Box Office team at 01434 652477.
