NE1's popular open-air movie theatre, Screen on the Green, is set to return for the summer on July 3.
The event will take place at Old Eldon Square, Newcastle, until September 3.
To kick off the activities, Screen on the Green will feature three weeks of international sporting action, including the Wimbledon tennis championships.
On August 20, NE1 will be showing the women's World Cup Football final.
Movies will be shown on the big screen from July 24 to September 3, with 15 free films each week.
Thursdays will also feature blockbuster screenings.
A screening of Aardman Animations' Shaun the Sheep movie will be shown to support St Oswald's Hospice's charitable fundraising Shaun the Sheep trail, which will be visible throughout Newcastle city centre.
A new addition this year is the Toddler Takeovers on Tuesdays, starting July 25.
Another returning attraction this year is Play Rebellion, an outdoor artistic and buildable installation.
