An award-winning artist from Ukraine will showcase her exhibition for the final time in Hexham on Saturday, June 24.
The Queen's Hall included the work of Anna Shevel, who is currently living in Hexham, in their recent 'Feast for the Eyes' exhibition.
Ms. Shevel has cultivated her skills with hyperrealism and expressionism to create super-sized paintings of food as well as more abstract landscape pieces.
The Ukrainian artist has previous experience in her home country, winning the 2018 prize 'City on an Easel' with her depiction of Horishni Plavni, but this was her first major exhibition, and it has proved to be extremely popular with visitors to the Queen's Hall.
Ms. Shevel said: "I am thankful for Katy Taylor, Dominic Smith, and the Queen’s Hall team for supporting my exhibition. It is a big deal for artists when their work is loved, and people want to have it on show in their homes.
"I enjoy using two completely different techniques to create my work. Hyperrealism for long, quiet sessions. This is an image of realistic nuances of colour, and texture.
"Whereas impressionism is an exaggerated saturation in shades and texture of strokes. Working in both techniques, I never feel tired of painting!"
Ms Shevel's art ranges from incredibly realistic images of profiteroles and fried eggs in Gallery One, to plein-air landscape-style paintings from Ukraine to Tynemouth in Gallery Two.
Katy Taylor, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Queen’s Hall Arts said: “We are delighted to be supporting Anna to share her amazing creations in our latest exhibition and to restart her career as a professional artist here in the UK.
"We look forward to welcoming the people of Hexham and beyond to our gallery spaces - and expect Queen’s Hall Café’s sales of sweet treats to soar!”
Queen's Hall is free to visit and is open Monday-Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.
