A NEW defibrillator has been installed at Prudhoe railway station.
The installment of the emergency equipment was a part of an improvement scheme which also includes re-painting of the railings.
It is believed there are other defibrillators installed elsewhere on site.
Prudhoe Town Cllr Chris Barrett said: "The need for these life-saving devices is well made.
"I am proud that our community has an increasing number and encourage residents to make themselves aware of there locations as they could be needed at anytime, they are very easy to use and no medical training is needed."
