TWO live painting sessions will be hosted by an acclaimed artist at The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre.

Jackie Morris, well-known for best-selling books The Lost Words and The Lost Spells in partnership with writer Robert Macfarlane, will host the sessions on Saturday, May 27 at 10am and 2pm.

The Lost Spells exhibition launched at The Sill in 2022, featuring Jackie’s paintings of British animals, birds, trees and flowers, and Robert’s poetry. It will open for visitors on Saturday.

Ms Morris said: “I was beyond delighted when The Sill commissioned the exhibition for The Lost Spells. Northumberland is a most amazing place, beautiful and rich in wildness. It will be a joy to paint in The Sill and I really welcome the chance to talk with people, read from the books, conjure creatures and work with paint and ink, inspired by the surroundings.”

A book signing will be held in The Sill’s shop from 3pm to 4.30pm.
