AN ANIMAL charity collection was organised by a fast food chain in Prudhoe.
Mcdonald's in Prudhoe organised a collection of food treats and toys for the animals in the care of the Northumberland West branch of the RSPCA.
A spokesperson for the charity thanked all the customers and staff for their donations to the animals.
"We were really grateful and our animals really enjoyed their treats and new toys," they said.
The spokesperson shared some information on the animals available for adoption at the RSPCA's Northumberland West branch.
A cat named Skye came into the charity's care with her four young kittens who had all been abandoned.
Moonlight and her three young kittens, who had also been abandoned, came into the charity's care with Skye.
Sadie, a four-year-old German Shepherd, is a new arrival and is settling in well.
Border Collie Dora at seven-months-old is very inquisitive and full of life.
Benson is a golden nine-year-old Staffordshire cross and loves his food.
Trixie, a lurcher, is one-year-old and is said to be a fun lively dog.
Benji is an eight-year-old Bichon Frise. He arrived in the RSPCA's care in a terrible state and has still not grown his coat back, so he was especially pleased with his new fleece blanket.
There are many more animals available for adoption, including several rabbits and guinea pigs.
The rehoming officer, John Billany, is available on 07519876789 or by email at adoptions@rspcanorthumberlandwest.
John's working days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
More information on animals available for adoption is on the RSPCA Northumberland West website and the charity's Facebook page.
