It hosts regular live music and one Facebook comment said the pub had a 'fab atmosphere'.

A Google review said: "Fantastic food, lovely staff and in a stunning listed building. Our dog also appreciated the extra treats and fusses from the patrons."
One Facebook review said: "Had a lovely late lunch. Friendly staff, a lovely warm welcome, especially by the fire. Service was prompt, but relaxed and we just had a lovely time."
9 The Globe Inn, Hexham
The bar shows live sport from Racing UK, At The Races, Sky Sports and BT Sport and welcomes dogs of all sizes.
One Facebook review said: "Great friendly atmosphere, always feel welcome and service with a smile."
It hosts live music once a month. A Facebook comment said: "Justin is the best when it comes to dogs."
10 Twice Brewed Inn, Bardon Mill
Situated midway between Newcastle and Carlisle, the Twice Brewed Inn is near the Roman sites of Vindolanda and Housesteads. They were the runner-up for the Rover Dog Friendly Pub Awards in 2019.
