The popular festival, which runs out of the Queen's Hall and Hexham Abbey, began last Friday (April 21) and runs until Sunday, April 30.

Take part in the weekly challenges or simply do your own thing at this FREE drop-in session, every Saturday afternoon at Hexham Library. No need to book - just turn up and join in.

This is an unsupervised, family activity - all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Slice Wars 2023 - "The Rebel Base"

 5:00 pm until 11:45 at Wylam Brewery, Palace of Arts Exhibition Park, Claremont Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne

Our very own Fire & Dough based in Hexham will be competing once again as Wylam Brewery unites pizza and Star Wars in an epic food battle. 

Spend your tokens on pizza from a range of different North East vendors and choose which one is your ultimate favourite.

With Star Wars-themed names, great beer and drinks options, tunes from a live DJ and delicious pizza all day long, this event is not to be missed.

Come along and meet Julian Norton from Channel 5s ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ as he talks all about his book Adventures with a Yorkshire Vet: Lambing Time and Other Animal Tales

Full of stories about greedy alpacas, mischievous kittens, and the birth of an adorable new calf, you won’t want to miss these charming tales about life as a vet.

Drop into this informal session and try some fun creative writing exercises and chat to workshop leader Amanda Quinn - a North East writer and tutor.

Northumberland College Zoo will be open all bank holiday and Coronation weekend. Visitors can see over 150 species of animals including lemurs, meerkats, wallabies, alpacas, armadillos, reptiles.
