HEXHAM Rotary Club will walk the wall to raise money for generators in Ukraine.
It comes as rotary clubs across the North will come together to celebrate 1900 years of Hadrian's Wall.
Around 100 walkers from over 19 clubs and some 25 teams will attempt to walk the length of the wall - 84 miles - in under three hours.
The wall has been divided into 17 sections each of around five miles.
The walk will raise money for good causes and Hexham is working with a club in Poland near the Ukrainian border to source and deliver generators to Ukraine.
It is hoped that Ukrainians living locally will join the walk on April 22.
Lead organiser John Dumbrell said: "This will be a really exciting and somewhat unique experience, with teams of walkers starting at points all along the entire length of the wall.
"We have teams involved from all areas, touched by this magnificent monument to Roman building.
"If you would like to donate, please use the Just Giving page we have set up.
"Local Ukranian refugees strongly support the idea and are hoping to accompany us on the walk."
