A PRUDHOE business has relaunched.

Divine Beauty, formerly based in Ascend Hairdressing on the Front Street, has moved to Edgewell Road at Halfway.

Owner Joanne has over 13 years experience in the industry and offers nail, lashes, waxing and other beauty services, including brows, facials and mobile spray tanning.

"The thing behind Divine Beauty is to enhance people's natural beauty and make them feel great about themselves", Joanne said. "I research the products that I use so I know I'm using the best, healthiest products, I'm constantly upskilling what treatments I do to be able to offer my clients the best and they know that and trust me.

"I am really lucky that I have got some very loyal clients but I'm truly grateful for every single customer that walks through that door because at the end of the day, I know that times are really tough.

"I'm very humbled people want to spend their spare money that they have with me offering them a treatment, but also for me, it's being able to put a smile on people's faces.

"Selfcare is so important and because we've spent so long not being able to have treatments (during the Covid pandemic), people appreciate it so much more."

Joanne had her own salon elsewhere some years ago before working as a mobile beautican.

She rented space at Ascend after lockdown after going to get her hair done by owner Drew Scott, who previously worked in business development and education before opening his salon in 2019, which strives to create a relaxing environment for customers using unique brands promoting an ethical and sustainable culture, much like Joanne.

She added: "It makes me really proud to be able to take this next step.

"Being in a new premise, you've got to find a new way of working but the response that I've had from people has been overwhelming, everybody loves the space and I've had really positive feedback on treatments.

"I have a lot of plans moving forward for the business; I will be launching a training academy from the premises."
