A TALENTED karter will be back in the driving seat.
Prudhoe's Ethan Head is to compete in the Ultimate Karting Championship in the junior Rotax Class.
The fixture will see him race in England, Scotland and Wales over the course of the season.
It comes after the 14-year-old recently raced at the Wera British Karting Championship O-plate.
The Prudhoe Community High School pupil, who races and is coached by Hunter Motorsport based in Houghton Le Spring, has previously ranked 24th in the country in the Ultimate Karting championships.
Ethan first started the sport in September 2017 after visiting an indoor track with his dad and a friend. He soon joined an academy and moved up the ranks, racing karters he had once admired on Youtube.
In 2021, Ethan was named North East Ikr Champion and took second place at the North West Ikr championship in his first season at that level.
