A PONTELAND man is due to appear in court.
Joe March, of Kirkley Drive, is expected to appear before magistrates in Newcastle today (March 27).
The 31-year-old is accused of two counts of assault by beating on November 20 in Newcastle.
Mr March also stands accused of on the same day, damaging a parking sign and glass door to the value of £2,000 at McDonalds in Kingston park and failing to stop after a road accident.
