BITE-sized acts of kindness were handed out in the streets of Tynedale.

The Pudding Parlour, based in Prudhoe, handed out cupcakes to members of the public on Friday, February 17 on Random Acts of Kindness Day.

Co-owners and siblings Kristy Giblin, 38, and Greg Small, 32, are from Stocksfield and started The Pudding Parlour together in 2013 on Hexham’s Haugh Lane.

During Covid, they decided to expand their dessert businesses' premises at Prudhoe and now offer retail and trade supply all out of the Prudhoe venue.

Kristy said: "Last year, we decided to celebrate Acts of Kindness Day by giving out cupcakes to everybody and it had a really good response. We did a few on the high street in Hexham, and we dropped off to local doctor surgeries and pharmacies because we'd just come out of Covid."

She added this year, rather than going into pharmacies and surgeries, they would give cupcakes to random people on the street. Staff members visited Blaydon Precinct, Hexham high street, Prudhoe, Stocksfield, Riding Mill, Ovingham and Wylam.
