CRAIG David, Sean Paul and Newcastle's Patrick Topping are among the big names announced for a North East festival.

LooseFest is returning to the Town Moor in Newcastle on August 5 and 6.

More than 30,000 people are expected to attend each day to see the likes of Chase & Status, Ben Hemsley, Joel Corry, Andy C, Sub Focus, Dimension, Example and Tinie Tempah perform.

DJs including Franky Wah, Alan Fitzpatrick, Hot Since 82, Kettama, Jax Jones and Sigala will also form part of the two-day lineup across five arenas hosted by Capital, Trick, Worried about Henry, What the Funk, Let's Get Loose, Utopiar and Mixtape.

Festivalgoers can also expect a street food village, funfair and immersive activations, including a Bentley and Ferrari experience in the VIP area, alongside sets from performances including Bou, King of the Rollers, Schak and Syreeta, who will join dance legends Judge Jules, Artful Dodger, Ultrabeat, Phats & Small and Flip & Fill, as well as Horse Meat Disco and A-track.

In 2022, the festival became the largest ever to take over the Town Moor, which spans over 1,000 acres, after making its debut at Herrington County Park in Sunderland in 2021.

Organisers behind LooseFest say they have now entered into a long-term partnership with the Freemen of Newcastle and Newcastle City Council to secure the future expansion of the site for years to come, making it a premiere choice for future large-scale events.
