A businessman hopes to find some answers about a mystery art piece he found while refurbishing his pub.
Marty Campbell, the licensee of the Black Bull in Haltwhistle, is appealing for help to gain an insight into an art mural he discovered in one of the rooms that is currently getting renovated.
The mural is of a hunting scene with horses and dogs, but there is no sign of a date on the artwork.
"I had heard rumours about it, but no one seems to know alot about it," Martin said.
"We are presently redecorating the "back room" and as we were getting rid of the wallpaper, we had uncovered the mural.
"We think it has been covered by the wallpaper for the last approximatetly 40 years.
"If anyone can give us information as to who and when it was painted, we would be most grateful."
