THE case against a Tynedale man has been dismissed by a court.
Robert Burdon, 42, was accused of two counts of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Mr Burdon was accused of, with intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour, thereby causing that person or another harassment, alarm or distress at Prudhoe railway station on February 16 last year.

He was found not guilty following a trial at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 13 and the charge was dismissed.
It was also alleged Mr Burdon used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress at Newcastle on February 16 last year.
Mr Burdon, of Field Bungalows, Broomhaugh, also pleaded not guilty to this charge and it was dismissed by the court as no evidence was offered.
