AN Allendale artist has been selected to show her work at an exhibition in London.
Carol Davison's work will be on display at the 200th Royal Society of British Artists annual exhibition in the Mall Gallery in London.
Carol’s Fritillary painting was one of just 200 selected from over 4, 000 entries following a call for artists.
The Gallery on the Mill owner takes inspiration from Northumbrian characters and stories, but also from her travels in places like India, Tibet and the Himalayas.
"It’s a fascinating journey to have a painting selected and truly an honour", she said. "Being chosen to show in London also reminds me strongly of travelling down to the Bankside Gallery for friend, artist and tutor Paul Stangroom, taking a painting of his down to be exhibited. Paul was based in Hexham at the time and now lives in Madeira.
"I’m excited to be heading south again soon, with my daughters and granddaughter, to see my own work exhibited this time."
Carol's work will be shown from March 2-11.
