WE asked our readers what their favourite show is on television at the moment. Here's what they said.
1 Happy Valley
The show most people voted for was the drama set in West Yorkshire titled Happy Valley, starring Sarah Lancashire and James Norton.
Jeannie Nightingale said: "Happy Valley. Wow. Edge of your seat and boy that hour goes by in a flash. Congratulations to all the actors and the teenage Ryan is super, well done but Sarah and James you’re both phenomenal in these roles. As are all the other actors. Don’t retire Sarah, there are more baddies in those valleys and mill towns. Fantastic writing more of this please."
2 Vera
Several other readers said their favourite show is the drama series Vera, based on the series of novels written by Ann Cleeves.
It was first broadcast on ITV on in 2011, and to date eleven series have aired, with the latest concluding in January.
Starring Brenda Blethyn as DCI Vera Stanhope, it follows her uncovering murder and mystery in Northumberland.
3 The Last Of Us
Some readers voted for HBO's new series, The Last of Us.
Based on a 2013 action-adventure game of a post-apocalyptic world, it follows the stories of survivors as they try to navigate across America.
4 The Repair Shop
Other readers voted for The Repair Shop, which follows a workshop where broken or damaged family heirlooms are brought back to life by skilled crafts people.
5 Yellowstone
Featuring Oscar and Emmy winner Kevin Costner as the patriarch of the Dutton rancher family, the drama series follows the story of the Duttons and conflicts with their neighbours which include a town, a Native American reservation and America's first national park.
6 Prime Minister's Questions
The event is held every Wednesday at noon and involves the Prime Minister answering questions from MPs in the House of Commons.
7 Cabinet of Curiosities
Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro's modern horror anthology series features various nightmarish tales built around Gothic traditions and storytelling.
8 Emmerdale
The soap follows families from a tight-knit community in the Yorkshire village of Emmerdale, and has aired since 1972.
9 Love Island
The game show involves men and women participating in various tasks with a partner that they keep swapping until they find the love of their life.
10 Daily Politics
Reader Bill Moulding said his favourite show was Daily Politics.
Airing between 2003 and 2018, the show was presented by Andrew Neil and Jo Coburn as they reviewed daily events in both Westminster and other areas across Britain.
