A POPULAR fish and chip shop in Hexham has been handed a new five-out-of-five good hygiene rating.
Paxton's Fish and Chips, in the Market Place, was given the score after assessment on December 14, the Food Standards agency's website shows.
Of Northumberland's 638 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 553 (87 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
