POLICE are still unable to identify a man whose body was found in a Northumberland forest nearly 33 years ago.

The body of a man, aged between 20 and 40, was found in Wark forest by Northumbria Police on 02/02/1990.

The man is still listed as missing by the National Crime Agency's UK missing persons unit and is described as being dark European between 5ft 6-8ins and of medium build.

The man, who is believed to be American and may have been called Christoper Oliver, could have been there for four-12 months before his body was found.

A blue rucksack, containing items including a plastic bottle with whisky in it, was found with the body of the man, who was also wearing odd shoes.
