A NEW bus service in Tynedale has been introduced.

Go North East, working with Northumberland County Council, has introduced the new Saturday-only service running between West Woodburn and Hexham.

The new service, which started on Saturday, January 7, was being introduced to replace the 882 route currently operated by Rural Link, and will feature an extra journey in each direction.

The service will stop at West Woodburn, Ridsdale, Barrasford Park, Gunnerton, Barrasford, Wall, Acomb, and Hexham.

Go North East said due to the new service, there will be some minor changes to the timetable of service 689, which runs between Hexham and Consett, on Saturdays.
