THE road linking Ovingham and Wylam has reopened.
It comes after Northern Gas works were carried out on the Ovingham Road.
The road was closed for some time during the essential works.
Disruption was expected to last into January.
"Happy to confirm that all of our work has been completed ahead of schedule and all of the roads in the area are now open and back to normal", said a Northern Gas spokesman.
