The Unite union said it will ballot its members on the improved pay offer which came after last-minute talks at the conciliation service Acas.
Unite regional officer Dave Telford said: “Following last-minute talks at Acas, an improved offer was made and as a result, Unite has suspended its industrial action in order to allow its members to be balloted on the offer.”
