A PRODUCTION of a classic BBC television series was staged at the Queen's Hall Arts Centre. 

Queen's Hall Theatre Club (QHTC) produced The Vicar of Dibley from November 24 to November 26.

The stage play by Ian Gower and Paul Carpenter was adapted from the original TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer, with permission from Tiger Aspect Productions.

The performing rights fees for the production went to Comic Relief.

Staging two productions a year at the Queen's Hall, QHTC local amateur drama group has participants from the Tyne Valley and beyond. They welcome new members in all aspects of production including acting, directing, publicity, sets and costumes.

The cast included Emily Macdonald as Geraldine Granger, Peter Cooke as David Horton, Clark Davison as Hugo Horton, Ruby Pearson as Alice Tinker and Dianne Keetch as Letitia Cropley.

Matt McClure performed as Jim Trott, Robin Jowett was Frank Pickle, Jon Hagger was Owen Newitt, Pam Robson was Mrs Tinker, Alex Tones was Choirmaster, and Katie Robson-Bates was Lizzie.

Annabelle Atkins was Katie, Owen Fabricius was Cameron and Liam Mather-Pender was Luke.

Carolyn Atkins and Joseph Dutton were wedding extras and Lesley Yeomans was a woman at the wedding.

Members from Tynedale Community Choir (TCC) also performed.

It was directed by Moya Holmes, stage managed by David Nixon and the assistant stage manager was Ella Davies.

QHTC thanked Calum Pringle for his drone footage, Kate Gessey for work on music with TCC, Anne Rutherford and Minsteracres Retreat Centre. 

Thanks was also given to West End Methodist Church, Chrysalis Club, Hexham Community Centre and Dr Clark Davis and the Beaumont Hotel for help with rehearsal facilities.
