A SCHOOL football team were the lucky winners of a new team strip.
Haydon Bridge High School footballers received the new team strip, courtesy of a winning entry in Arnold Clark's Gear Up For Sport competition.
The U16 team is pictured wearing the new kit before their Tyneside Schools cup game against Kings Priory, where their performance saw them come back from 4-2 down to level at 4-4 just before full time, courtesy of goals from Kairan Hall (2), Ryan Macneil (pen) and Owen Atkinson.
They were to lose out in the penalty shoot out, but their cup hopes are still alive as they have reached the last eight of the Northumberland Schools Diball cup.
A hard fought win away against Ponteland High School in their first game saw them drawn against Kenton School in the next round, but Haydon Bridge were awarded a walkover, with Kenton unable to raise a team.
