A FESTIVE gift fair will take place next week in aid of The British Red Cross.

The Northumberland Christmas Fair, at Healey Barn near Riding Mill, is returning after a two-year break due to the pandemic.

The fair will take place on Wednesday, November 16 between 2pm and 7pm, and on Thursday, November 17 between 9.30am and 3pm.

Visitors will find interior items, ceramics, jewellery, vintage clothes, a pop-up Barbour shop and more.

Entry costs £8 and all proceeds from this, a tombola, and the refreshments on offer will go to The British Red Cross.

All stallholders are also donating 10 per cent of their sales to the charity, which helps people all over the world in crisis.

Ali Murphy, one of the event's organisers, said: "We're pleased to be back.

"We're hoping it'll be bigger and better this year."

Parking for the event is free.
